In the midst of a challenging economic climate, the ongoing renaissance of Downtown Los Angeles continued at an impressive pace. As LA’s city center was becoming increasingly known as a premier dining destination, the Downtown Center Business Improvement District (DCBID) sought to capture some of the buzz surrounding these new developments, and to help visitors sift through the wide variety of top choices.
Culinary hotspots included a robust collection of established favorites alongside exciting new openings. As a result, two sister landing pages were built on DowntownLA.com to highlight both longstanding landmarks and trendy upstarts. These pages drew in an 8% spike in site traffic during the month of the campaign.
Eventually, these two pages were combined into a singular resource which has become a permanent fixture on DowntownLA.com. This page has been updated as new restaurants grow in popularity, and it often ranks within the top 5 pages each month.
