This was my third year working on the Downtown Center Business Improvement District’s seasonal campaign to promote summer "staycations" in Downtown Los Angeles.
As Downtown was increasingly known by its nightlife destinations, we selected the theme of “Summer Nights” to feature unforgettable urban retreats in Downtown LA – highlighting dining, nightlife, and entertainment. Promotional outreach included advertising and giveaways on CBS Radio, print ads, online ads, email newsletters, social media outreach, flyer distribution throughout the Los Angeles area, and direct media outreach to blogs and news sources.
As a result of these efforts, landing page traffic increased by 50% over the 2010 summer campaign. This generated significant exposure and revenue, including over $70,000 in additional bookings for one participating hotel.
